Imagine opening your wardrobe one morning and realising your shorts are too big.

Not because they've stretched. Not because you bought the wrong size. Because your body has changed.

Your energy is back. Your confidence has grown. You feel lighter, stronger, and healthier than you have in years.

The truth is, you don't need another diet. You need a handful of simple habits that work with your body instead of against it.

Here are the five habits I teach almost every client.

1. Start Every Day with Easy Protein

The first meal of the day sets the tone for everything that follows. A protein breakfast helps to keep the afternoon crash away, have you feeling fuller for longer, and reduces those mid-morning cravings that send you searching for the biscuit tin.

The best part? It doesn't have to be complicated.

Two boiled eggs you cooked the night before. Forget perfection. Just make protein the priority.

2. Change Up Your Coffee

If your morning coffee is loaded with sugar, syrups, or sweetened milk, it could be setting you up for that 10am "I need something sweet" thought.

One simple change I recommend to almost every client is to enjoy your coffee with or after breakfast, rather than on an empty stomach.

And.... If you're thinking, "There's no way I could drink coffee without sugar," you're not alone.

My 1:1 client Raeleen said exactly the same thing.

Today, she drinks her tea without sugar and has lost 13kg. Small changes really do become life-long and life-changing habits.

3. Skip the Sourdough. Keep the Butter.

This one surprises people.

Healthy fats are not the enemy. In fact, they help keep you full, support your hormones, and make meals far more enjoyable and healthy.

Think avocado, pecans, flaxseeds, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil and butter.

The real problem often isn't the butter, it's the hidden sugars and starches hiding in everyday foods like sourdough and many so-called "healthy" foods.

Less sugar. More nourishment. All the flavour. Clothes looser.

4. Fill Up So You're Not Tempted by the Biscuit Tin

One of the biggest mistakes I see is people trying to eat tiny meals in the hope they'll lose weight faster.

The opposite often happens.

They end up hungry, craving sugar by mid-afternoon, and reaching for whatever is easiest.

Instead, aim for three uncomplicated, beautiful meals each day.

When you eat enough at your meals, you're far less likely to spend the day grazing, snacking, or raiding the pantry.

Your body doesn't need less food.

It needs the right food.

5. Stay Prepped

Healthy eating becomes incredibly easy when you've prepared for it.

One thing I tell every client is to keep a protein box in the fridge.

Cook extra at dinner and use the leftovers for tomorrow's lunch.

When healthy choices are convenient, you'll make them far more often.

Preparation isn't about being perfect.

It's about making the healthy choice the easiest choice.

Let's Go.

You don't need another diet.

You need a few simple habits that you can repeat every single day.

One day you'll open your wardrobe, reach for your favourite jeans, and realise they're too big.

Not because you deprived yourself.

Not because you counted every calorie.

But because you built habits that supported your body, one meal, and one choice at a time.
